Refer a Friend at Elon: How Referral Bonuses Work, and Their Risks

Refer-a-friend programs — the invite friend bonus — reward you, and sometimes the friend, when someone you invite opens an account. They are simple in principle and full of small conditions in practice. Whether Elon offers a referral bonus to your account, and on what terms, is shown in the account or promotions section. This page explains how invite-a-friend schemes usually work, the conditions that most often block a payout, and a question worth asking before you invite anyone.

How a referral usually works

  1. You copy a personal referral link or code from your account.
  2. Your friend registers through that link, or enters the code at registration.
  3. The friend verifies the account and meets a qualifying condition — often a first deposit of a minimum amount, sometimes an amount of betting.
  4. The referral bonus is credited, usually as bonus money with its own wagering requirement, sometimes with a cap on the number of friends per month.

If the friend registers without the link or code, the referral is usually not recorded and cannot be added later.

Rules that void referral bonuses

Casinos protect referral schemes against abuse, and the protections catch honest players too. Most allow only one account per person, and many only one per household, IP address, device or payment method. A referral between two people at the same address, or a friend using a shared computer, can look like one person with two accounts. In that case bonuses for both accounts may be removed and the accounts restricted. Read the multi-account and household clauses before inviting anyone close to you.

An illustrative example

Suppose a program pays 20 units of bonus money per qualifying friend, with 30× wagering. One referral then requires 600 units of betting before the reward is withdrawable. If the qualifying condition is a first deposit of 50 units by your friend, the scheme in effect asks your friend to spend money so that you can receive a bonus you must then bet many times over. Put that way, the value is easier to judge.

Inviting responsibly

A referral is a recommendation to gamble, and gambling costs money. Before sharing a link, ask whether the person is an adult who already gambles for fun and can afford it, and whether online gambling is allowed where they live. Never invite someone who is trying to cut down, and never pressure anyone to deposit so that a bonus qualifies. If a friend asks you to stop sending invitations or links, stop.

Posting referral links publicly — in forums, groups or on social media — is often forbidden by the terms and can void the reward.

Refer a friend FAQ

Does Elon have a refer-a-friend program?
If one exists for your account, the promotions or account section will show a personal referral link or code and its terms. This guide does not claim one exists; it explains how such programs usually work.
Can I refer someone in my household?
Often not. Many casinos limit accounts to one per household, IP address or device, and referrals between people sharing them can be treated as duplicate accounts, voiding bonuses for both.
When is a referral bonus paid?
Usually only after the friend registers through your link, verifies their account and meets a qualifying condition such as a first deposit or an amount of play. Read the qualifying condition in the terms before inviting anyone.
